Fulbright U.S. Student Program

The provides grants for individually designed study/research projects or for English Teaching Assistant Programs outside the U.S. The program operates in more than 140 countries worldwide and awards grants in nearly all fields and disciplines, including the humanities, social sciences, STEM fields, and creative and performing arts.

During their grants, Fulbrighters will meet, work, live with and learn from the people of the host country, sharing daily experiences.  The program facilitates cultural exchange through direct interaction on an individual basis in the classroom, field, home, and in routine tasks, allowing the grantee to gain an appreciation of others鈥 viewpoints and beliefs, the way they do things, and the way they think. Through engagement in the community, the individual will interact with their hosts on a one-to-one basis in an atmosphere of openness, academic integrity, and intellectual freedom, thereby promoting mutual understanding.

2025-2026 Competition Cycle Timeline

Applications for the 2025-2026 competition are due October 8, 2024. Grant recipients will carry out their projects abroad beginning in late summer/early fall 2025. To apply for the 2025-2026 competition through 色花堂 follow the timeline below. Students who fail to meet the deadlines indicated may be required to apply 'at large' without the endorsement of the campus committee.
