International Student Scholarships

International students can apply for several scholarships that are reserved exclusively for F or J visa students. International students can also search for other scholarships that accept both national and international applicants. 

Because eligibility criteria can vary widely between programs, carefully review the eligibility criteria for each scholarship or grant to determine if international students can apply. Please review the listings below.

International Student Scholarship

The É«»¨Ìà Admissions Office offers "International Student Scholarships" to new undergraduate students.  Award amounts vary. Recipients are selected based on students' academic records and a competitive selection process.

To apply for this scholarship, you must submit a complete undergraduate admission application to É«»¨Ìà including all required admission application documents. You do not need to submit a separate scholarship application. For best consideration, submit everything by February 1 because these funds are limited. Spring scholarships are awarded in January and fall scholarships in March. International scholarship recipients will be notified and can find scholarship details in their admissions portal.

You Are Welcome Here Scholarship

É«»¨Ìà is proud to participate in the campaign as we welcome international scholars from around the globe. Each year, É«»¨Ìà awards a select number of YAWH scholarships to international freshmen applicants, with award amounts that meet approximately half the cost of tuition. Please note students who receive this scholarship are not eligible to also receive the "International Student Scholarship" listed above.

To apply for the YAWH scholarship, students must submit an undergraduate admission application for the Fall term and email a completed to by February 1.  The award selection process is highly competitive.

Students who are awarded a YAWH scholarship are notified each spring and must then enroll at É«»¨Ìà by May 1 to accept the scholarship.

The following additional É«»¨Ìà scholarship listings include some scholarships that allow International Student applicants. Carefully review the eligibility criteria for each scholarship. International students are not eligible for any of MHEC's state aid programs or these É«»¨Ìà Admission scholarships.
