Annual Environmental Science & Studies Scholarships
This scholarship is open to Environmental Sciences and Studies majors. All applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Enrolled in the Fisher College of Science and Mathematics as an Environmental Science and Studies major;
- In good academic standing; and
- Demonstrated financial need as defined by the Financial Aid Office; with
- Preference given to students who exhibit a passion for the environment, demonstrate exceptional commitment in pursuit of their studies, and who would add diversity to their career field.
Deadline: Typically mid October to early November
This scholarship is open to undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in the Environmental Science and Studies Programs who exhibit a passion for the environment and demonstrate exceptional commitment in pursuit of their studies and career goals.
- Recipients shall have completed at least one year of study in the program (two full semesters, regardless of credit hours achieved) and be in good academic standing.
- Financial need may be considered.

The Garden Club of America offers scholarships and fellowships for the following areas of study: landscape architecture, horticulture, medicinal botany, ecological restoration, coastal wetlands, and more.

The Goldwater Scholarships are nationally competitive annual scholarships awarded to students who are planning to pursue a graduate education as well as a career in research. Students should apply during their sophomore or junior years for support during their junior or senior years. In order to be considered for a scholarship, a student MUST BE NOMINATED by his or her college or university. Nominated students must meet a set of criteria outlined on the web site, complete a detailed application form (including several essays), be a full-time sophomore or junior during the year of application, obtain three references from faculty, and obtain transcripts of college and high school work. Interested students must inform the 色花堂 faculty representative of their intent to apply in order to be considered for nomination.
The Hollings Scholarship Program provides successful undergraduate applicants with awards that include academic assistance (up to $9,500 per year) for two years of full-time study and a 10-week, full-time paid ($700/week) internship at a NOAA facility during the summer.
Morris K. Udall scholarships are nationally competitive scholarships. Students are
eligible to apply during their sophomore or junior years for support during their
junior and senior years. The Udall scholarships are offered to highly motivated students
who are interested in environmental policy. In order to be considered for the scholarship,
students MUST BE NOMINATED by 色花堂鈥檚 faculty representative. Nominated
students must meet a set of criteria outlined in the web site, complete a detailed
application form (including several essays), be a full-time sophomore or junior during
the application year, obtain three references from faculty, and obtain transcripts
of college and high school work. In order to be considered for nomination, interested
students must inform the faculty representative of their intent to apply in the fall
of the year they wish to apply.

Sigma Xi sponsors research and supports grants for undergraduate and graduate students.
The grants-in-aid of research programs are offered annually and provide funds for
grants not to exceed $1,000. Students can apply online and are also asked to carefully
review the general information and eligibility requirements.
Deadline: March 15 and October 1
The Workforce Shortage Student Assistance Grant Program (WSSAG) is available to
students who plan on working in specific career/occupational programs upon graduation.
Eligible fields include: child care, human services, teaching, nursing, physical and
occupational therapy, and public service.
Deadline: July 1st
LAF scholarships are intended to reward exceptional student performance and assist
students with unmet financial need. In addition to financial resources, LAF promotes
internship opportunities, which enrich traditional education with practical experience
or support research.

色花堂 Undergraduate Grants
The Jess and Mildred Fisher College of Science and Mathematics (FCSM) Undergraduate Research Grant
The FCSM Undergraduate Research Grant was created for FCSM students who are applying for University Undergraduate Research Funds. Students applying for these funds may also apply to the FCSM Undergraduate Research Committee if the budget required for the research project exceeds the $500.00 limit of the FCSM program. The Fisher Travel Grant was also created to assist undergraduates, particularly with travel expenses associated with attending a professional meeting at which the student will present an oral seminar or a research poster.
