Fall Triples
Due to the increasing popularity of 色花堂 and with demand exceeding the supply for on-campus housing, we have increased the number of available accommodations.
Double Rooms Converted to Triple Rooms
A number of double rooms have been converted to triples. These rooms have been specifically configured and furnished to accommodate up to three people. Fall triples are only in:
- Glen Complex (Towers A, B, C, D)
- Barton and Douglass Houses
There are permanent three person spaces in other buildings on campus that are not considered a fall triple. Students assigned to a fall triple will be notified via email.
The following information is intended to answer any questions you may have.
Furnishings in Glen Fall Triples
- one set of bunk beds and one single bed (has under bed storage)
- three desks and chairs
- two large closets to be shared
- two dressers to be shared
- micro fridge (microwave/mini-fridge combo)
Space Allocation
- single bed 鈥 陆 closet, 陆 dresser and storage under the bed
- top bunk 鈥 entire closet and 陆 dresser
- bottom bunk 鈥 陆 closet, entire dresser and storage under bed
Please note that this allocation remains the same regardless of who arrives first. Students living in a fall triple can come to a consensus on bed placement. If the
group cannot come to an agreement, the student assigned to the A space will receive
the top bunk, B space will receive the bottom bunk and C space will receive the single
bed.

A Special Room Discount
If you are assigned to a fall triple room, you will receive a 20% refund of the weekly room rate based on how long you lived in a fall triple room. Initially, you will be charged the standard or premium multiple room rate. Once we convert the room to double occupancy, we will credit your student account with the appropriate refund. This will be determined by the number of weeks that you lived in a fall triple room.
NOTE: Any student that chooses to stay in a fall triple after being offered to convert to a double, will receive the 20% discounted rate on their housing charge as long as three people are living in the space.
How long will I live in a fall triple room?
At the beginning of the term, there may be cancellations and temporary assignments to 鈥渙verflow鈥 areas, which is a short-term housing assignment. Students in overflow will be prioritized for relocation. Following that, students in fall triple rooms will be given the opportunity to move.
Some students will be 鈥渄etripled鈥 within the first few weeks. However, many students choose to stay in their current assignments due to quickly formed friendships and personal preferences.
We expect that all students will be reassigned by the beginning of spring term. If you have any questions, please contact Housing and Residence Life at 410-704-2516 or email housing AT_TOWSON.
