The SAGE Community focuses on academic success, community building, professional development, and expanding multicultural knowledge of first year students participating in the SAGE (S迟耻诲别苍迟蝉鈥A肠丑颈别惫别鈥Goals through鈥Education) Program. SAGE Community residents will have access to a strong support network including academic support, relationships with faculty, staff and peers, various campus services, and peer mentorship throughout the academic year that will create a connected sense of community.鈥
While the SAGE LLC is a unique and immersive way to get involved with the SAGE Program, students who live off-campus or elsewhere on campus may still participate in SAGE. More information about the SAGE Program can be found here.
Applicants must be an incoming first year student and eligible for financial aid via the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) guidelines and must participate in a 6-day residential experience prior to fall semester move-in. If there is a mutual roommate selection, it is important that it is indicated at the time of the roommate request process. In addition, both applicants need to be eligible for financial aid via FAFSA guidelines.
The Sage Community is located in Newell Hall. Newell Hall offers a variety of living arrangements. Rooms vary from 1 to 3 students per room. Rooms usually either open onto a central hallway and share a community bathroom/lounge areas or are suite style (two bedrooms with a bathroom in the middle; students in these rooms are responsible for cleaning the bathroom.)
The LLC is open to all students eligible for financial aid through the FAFSA. It is expected that community members will move-in early to attend the entire six-day pre-orientation.
The SAGE LLC does not have a linked course.
This SAGE LLC includes a six-day preorientation that requires that students move in prior to the standard first-year move-in dates.
