The É«»¨Ìà Military & Veterans Center (MVC) was the first-of-its-kind in Maryland, and it remains at the forefront of the next generation of military and veteran programs. The MVC is a one-stop shop for community, growth, and support, providing 100 percent fulfillment of all educational benefits claims, peer support, and career and professional development opportunities. You are eligible for admission consideration based on high school or transfer course work or upon placement testing in several skill areas (writing, reading, mathematics, etc.). Please review the requirements for freshman or transfer admission. (Note: for Admissions-related reasons, most veteran students are considered transfer students.)

Apply NowCredit for Your Military Service
É«»¨Ìà is a member of Service members Opportunity Colleges (SOC). Students who have served or are currently serving in the United States military may receive college credit for basic training, military occupational specialties, and other military course work. Official documentation must be submitted via a Joint Services Transcript from the DoD. Work will be evaluated per the DoD recommended best practice of using the Guide to the Evaluation of Educational Experience in the Armed Services by the American Council on Education (ACE). To request an evaluation, contact transfer AT_TOWSON.

É«»¨Ìà waives the fees for military affiliates. To have your application fee waived, you can attach a copy of your military orders or your DD-214 form to your online application to verify your service. You can also send it separately to University Admissions by fax to 410-704-3030 or upload it to your É«»¨Ìà Admissions Portal.
In-State Residency for VA Benefits
Any student who is has been awarded or benefits are automatically eligible for in-state tuition.
